ADS random IFH-0009 error

Hi, my name is Lorenzo and this is my problem:

When I connect the ADS interface to my BMW E36 '97 I often get the error IFH-0009. With INPA and DISv44 I am able to enter the selected modules almost without problems, at the latest on the third attempt. The real problem I have with NCS EXPERT, it's a drama because I can read and download the modules 1 time out of 20 attempts. I can't understand why sometimes everything is perfect and sometimes it takes so many attempts.

My specs:

Laptop: Dell D830 with rs232

OS: Windows XP SP3 x86

Interface: Do-It-Auto ADS

Ediabas: 6.4.3

This is my COM1 port config:

Bit per second: 9600

Data bits: 8

Parity: None

Stop bits: 1

Flow control: Xon/Xoff (i've tried "none" but same result)

Fifo enabled

Hi, I followed your advice. I put the interface into OBD mode by doing all the various resets in ediabas.ini and obd.ini. .

The OBD mode interface in the modules it can read is just perfect, such as GM4 and EWS.

In NCS, vehicle identification via EWS is lightning fast.

Of course, in OBD mode, it can't and won't get into non-OBD modules like the Kombi.

My question is this: how can I get the same connection stability in ADS mode?
